Vector Legal has raised a seed financing round led by Base10 Partners and Y Combinator to expand its AI-native legal services and technology platform.
Vector Legal was part of Y Combinator’s Winter 2026 batch and was founded by business lawyer Mitch J. Duncombe.
Vector Legal combines proprietary software with lawyers to handle legal matters from beginning to end for startups, growth-stage companies, venture capital firms and private equity investors.
The company believes legal work is increasingly becoming both a software and professional services business as clients demand faster, more technology-enabled alternatives to conventional law firms.
Vector Legal said its combined model allows it to deliver legal outcomes at a fraction of the cost of traditional solutions. The company also uses fast, outcome-based pricing structured to comply with professional responsibility rules.
The financing included support from investors and advisers such as Base10 Partners co-founder Adeyemi Ajao, Caroline Broder, Transpose Platform founder James Tan and Y Combinator Managing Director Jared Friedman.
Vector Legal also acknowledged Y Combinator visiting partners Finbarr Taylor, Francois Chaubard and JJ Fliegelman, along with former Atrium co-founder and Chief Technology Officer Chris Smoak.
The company is hiring across its engineering and legal teams to meet growing client demand.
