Vedder has added Erin Weber as a Shareholder in its Executive Compensation & Employee Benefits group, with Weber based in the firm’s Chicago office.
Weber will advise public and private companies on a broad range of employee benefits and executive compensation matters, including qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, health and welfare programs, fiduciary and governance issues, and pension plan de-risking transactions.
Her practice also includes advising clients on the employee benefits and executive compensation aspects of mergers and acquisitions, adding transactional capabilities to Vedder’s growing benefits practice.
Vedder said Weber’s experience with complex benefit arrangements will support companies seeking to attract, incentivize and retain employees while navigating increasingly sophisticated compensation and retirement structures.
Weber received her J.D. magna cum laude from the University of Illinois College of Law and earned a B.S. in Nursing from Northern Illinois University.
Her addition strengthens Vedder’s Chicago-based Executive Compensation & Employee Benefits practice as the firm continues expanding its capabilities across corporate, finance, labor and employment, and transactional matters.
Vedder operates nine offices across Chicago, New York, Washington, D.C., London, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Singapore, Dallas and Miami. The firm’s broader practices include global transportation finance, middle-market finance and M&A, executive compensation, employment class actions and investment services.
