Veeam Appoints Mika Yamamoto As Chief Marketing And Customer AI Officer

Veeam Software announced it has appointed Mika Yamamoto as Chief Marketing and Customer AI Officer. Yamamoto will lead the company’s global marketing organization and oversee its customer AI framework.

In this role, Yamamoto will focus on making Veeam’s value clearer to customers as they use data and AI across their businesses. And she will also be responsible for ensuring Veeam’s customer interactions are more relevant, informed, and connected across the customer journey.

Veeam said the appointment comes as companies continue navigating AI transformation and need more clarity around how to use data securely and effectively. Yamamoto will help shape the company’s strategy for showing customers how Veeam’s solutions can support the impact and security of their data.

Yamamoto joins Veeam from Freshworks, where she served as Chief Integrated Customer Growth Officer and led AI-powered customer and employee experience across marketing, sales, customer success, and support. Before Freshworks, she was Chief Customer Engagement and Marketing Officer at F5, where she modernized data practices and digitized the end-to-end customer experience across the security and networking market.

Previously, Yamamoto served as President of Marketo through its acquisition by Adobe and then became General Manager of the Marketo franchise. She has also held senior marketing leadership roles at SAP and Microsoft. Earlier in her career, she was a Research Vice President at Gartner and a consultant at Accenture.

Yamamoto also serves on the board of directors of BlackLine, where she chairs the Compensation Committee.

The company says its platform helps organizations validate trust in their data so it can be used safely to accelerate AI at scale.
