VEIR Raises $110 Million Series C Co-Led By Matter Venture Partners And Tyche Partners

VEIR raised an oversubscribed $110 million Series C round to accelerate commercialization of its superconducting power delivery systems for AI data centers.  The round was co-led by Matter Venture Partners and Tyche Partners. LG Technology Ventures, Gates Frontier, Sabanci Climate Ventures, and Hui Capital also participated. Existing investors, including Engine Ventures, Galvanize Climate Solutions, Piva Capital, Congruent Ventures, and VXI Capital, returned for the financing.

The Series C brings VEIR’s total capital raised to $225 million.

VEIR plans to use the funding to expand manufacturing, develop additional products, increase its technical and commercial capabilities, and support initial commercial deployments.

The company is developing power delivery infrastructure specifically for high-density AI data centers.

VEIR’s systems combine superconducting cables with cryogenic cooling, controls, termination equipment, and monitoring technology.

The architecture is designed to move substantially more electricity through a smaller physical footprint than conventional copper-based infrastructure.

VEIR believes the technology can reduce labor, material requirements, installation complexity, and space requirements while increasing power density.

The company has already demonstrated a 3-megawatt superconducting power delivery system and is working with customers and industry partners on AI-factory reference designs.

VEIR is now building the manufacturing, supply chain, and installation infrastructure necessary to move from pilot deployments toward repeatable commercial installations.

KEY QUOTES:

“AI infrastructure is advancing at a pace that requires us to rethink how power is delivered, not simply optimize the systems that exist today. This financing gives us the resources to move from demonstrating the potential of superconducting power delivery to manufacturing and deploying systems at commercial scale.”

Tim Heidel, CEO of VEIR

“Power delivery to AI server racks is emerging as one of the critical constraints on how efficiently and densely AI compute can scale and cluster.”

Wen Hsieh, Founding Managing Partner at Matter Venture Partners

“We believe VEIR has reached an inflection point and is uniquely positioned to scale superconducting power systems.”

Weijie Yun, Managing Partner at Tyche Partners
