Velocity Raises $27 Million Seed To Help AI Companies Turn Growth Into Sustainable Revenue

Velocity announced that it raised $27 million in seed funding to help AI-native software companies turn rapid user growth into sustainable revenue. The round was led by NFX and Red Dot Capital Partners. Stardom Ventures, Corner Ventures, and Transcend also participated in the round. Velocity plans to use the funding to support its AI monetization infrastructure.

The company is focused on helping AI-native applications monetize users while expanding distribution. Rather than building AI models or consumer applications, Velocity is developing infrastructure designed to help AI companies address revenue challenges.

Velocity said many AI companies are facing pressure from rising inference costs and low subscription conversion rates. As software becomes easier to build through AI, more companies are seeking new ways to convert user growth into long-term business growth.

The company believes traditional approaches such as prompt caps or aggressive paywalls may help reduce costs in the short term but can also limit product discovery and slow user growth. Velocity’s platform is designed to add a monetization layer that complements existing subscription models.

Velocity generates revenue through native advertising integrated into AI conversations. The company said this approach is built around real-time user intent, as conversational AI can reveal what users are trying to learn, create, buy, or solve.

To support this model, Velocity has developed an AI-native advertising network, a mediation and auction layer that optimizes demand, and a conversation intelligence system. The system is designed to transform multi-turn dialogue into structured, privacy-safe intent signals.

Velocity said early customers have shown that monetization can be introduced without reducing engagement or retention. Customers referenced in the announcement include Leadtech / MAU and AIBY’s Chaton application.

The company believes intent will become a defining signal for AI-era software platforms. Velocity is positioning itself as a growth infrastructure layer for monetization, distribution, and product discovery across AI-native applications.
