VeloSource Acquires Quest And Syncx To Build Healthcare Workforce Solutions Platform

By Amit Chowdhry • Jun 17, 2026

VeloSource announced that it has acquired Quest Locum Tenens and Syncx, expanding its national clinical staffing capabilities and adding a technology platform for healthcare workforce management.

The acquisitions are backed by Interlock Equity and are designed to combine VeloSource’s locum tenens staffing expertise with Syncx’s vendor-neutral technology and Quest’s nationwide clinical placement capabilities.

The combined platform will support healthcare organizations facing clinician shortages, operational complexity, and rising pressure to manage contingent labor more efficiently. VeloSource said the acquisitions will help create an enterprise-grade workforce solutions ecosystem focused on improving visibility, flexibility, and control across clinical staffing.

Syncx provides a proprietary digital platform that streamlines healthcare staffing, optimizes workforce management, and helps match medical professionals with healthcare facilities. The platform also includes a physician float pool model that helps health systems digitize and centralize scheduling, replacing manual workflows such as whiteboards and spreadsheets.

By giving healthcare systems real-time visibility into physician availability across their organizations, Syncx enables internal float pool resources to be prioritized before external agency locums, potentially creating significant cost savings. Syncx will continue operating as its own brand under the VeloSource umbrella.

Quest, founded in 2009, specializes in nationwide placements for locum tenens physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and certified registered nurse anesthetists. The addition of Quest expands VeloSource’s geographic reach, clinician network, and delivery capabilities across the locum tenens market.

VeloSource said the acquisitions advance its strategy to build a differentiated healthcare workforce platform combining high-touch clinical staffing expertise with technology-enabled workforce management.
