By Amit Chowdhry • Jul 18, 2025

Environmental services leader Veolia has completed its acquisition of Icetec, a Pennsylvania-based digital and distributed energy management company with over 20 years of experience in generating energy savings and operational improvements.

This acquisition will enhance Veolia’s energy service offerings in North America and provide additional capabilities to its Hubgrade digital platform. As the electricity market becomes more volatile, Icetec’s customers will benefit from Veolia’s comprehensive services, which aim to improve environmental performance.

This move supports Veolia’s GreenUp strategy, which aims to double revenue in the U.S. and Canada by 2030, with a focus on decarbonization and pollution reduction. The Icetec team will leverage its expertise and software solutions to support Veolia’s Sustainable Industries and Buildings division, enabling clients to optimize energy assets across various sectors, including higher education, healthcare, and industry.
