Vera Bradley Reports Sequential Sales Improvement As Brand Revitalization Strategy Advances

Vera Bradley reported second-quarter fiscal 2026 results showing sequential improvement in comparable sales trends as the accessories and lifestyle brand works through a broader product and merchandising transformation.

The results, released September 11, 2025, for the quarter ended August 2, 2025, showed continuing-operations revenue of $70.9 million, compared with $94 million in the prior-year quarter.

The company reported a net loss from continuing operations of $4.7 million, or $0.17 per diluted share. Excluding severance, consulting and transformation expenses and other adjustments, the non-GAAP loss was approximately $500,000, or $0.02 per diluted share.

Executive Chairman Ian Bickley said comparable store and VeraBradley.com sales improved sequentially from the first quarter and in each month of the second quarter.

Vera Bradley is making changes to product design and assortment, including a renewed emphasis on styles associated with the brand’s history. The company brought back the Vera Tote and prepared a holiday reissue of the original 100 Bag while seeking greater balance across fabrics, silhouettes and prints.

The company’s broader transformation includes changes to merchandising, product innovation, marketing and channel strategy as management seeks to reconnect with existing customers while expanding into new consumer segments.

For the first six months of fiscal 2026, revenue from continuing operations totaled $122.5 million compared with $162 million a year earlier. The six-month non-GAAP loss from continuing operations was $10.6 million, or $0.38 per diluted share.

Vera Bradley ended the second quarter with $15.2 million of cash and $10 million drawn on its $75 million asset-based lending facility.
