Veralto has acquired Alfaa UV, an India-based provider of ultraviolet water treatment systems for industrial and commercial applications. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Alfaa UV will become part of Veralto’s Trojan Technologies business. The acquisition adds locally developed treatment products, technical expertise and an established commercial presence in India.
Founded in 1997 and headquartered in Mumbai, Alfaa UV has more than 20 years of experience in ultraviolet water and air purification. The company also operates a facility in Talegaon, Maharashtra.
Alfaa UV primarily serves customers in the pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and building services sectors. These industries often require reliable water treatment to support production quality, sanitation and compliance requirements.
Ultraviolet treatment uses UV light to inactivate microorganisms in water without adding disinfecting chemicals. The technology can be used as part of industrial process-water, drinking-water and wastewater treatment systems.
Veralto expects Alfaa UV’s products to complement Trojan Technologies’ existing ultraviolet treatment and filtration portfolio. The combined business will be positioned to offer systems tailored to local operating conditions, customer requirements and price points.
The acquisition is also intended to support Veralto’s growth in India, where industrial development and water scarcity are increasing demand for efficient treatment technologies. The company sees additional opportunities to expand Alfaa UV’s capabilities across other Asia-Pacific markets.
Alfaa UV brings engineering, chemistry and microbiology expertise to the combined organization. Its research and development team has created UV technologies designed for customers and operating environments in India.
Trojan Technologies has provided water treatment systems for municipal, industrial and residential customers for nearly 50 years. Its brands include TrojanUV, Aquafine, VIQUA, AQUAFIDES and Aria Filtra.
Veralto generates approximately $5.5 billion in annual sales and employs about 17,000 people worldwide. The company provides technologies focused on water quality, food safety and the reliability of essential consumer and industrial products.
