Vercel, the innovative company behind v0, Next.js, and the AI Cloud, has recently announced that it has closed a significant Series F funding round, successfully raising $300 million. This funding round was notably oversubscribed, resulting in a post-money valuation of $9.3 billion for the company.

There will also be an approximate $300 million secondary tender offer available for certain employees, former employees, and early investors, which is scheduled to close in November.

The funding round was co-led by two prominent investment firms: Accel and GIC. Among the new investors participating in this round are funds and accounts managed by BlackRock, StepStone, Khosla Ventures, Schroders, Adams Street Partners, and General Catalyst. Vercel’s existing investors, including GV, Notable Capital, Salesforce Ventures, and Tiger Global, also participated, showcasing strong continued support.

Vercel has built a wide array of customers, encompassing everyone from individual developers to some of the largest enterprises globally. The company achieved this by developing a pioneering AI-native infrastructure that simplifies the process for businesses to create intelligent applications. Notable companies utilizing Vercel’s technology include Anthropic, OpenAI, Square, and WPP. Over the last year, Vercel has experienced substantial growth, successfully doubling its user base while achieving an impressive 82% year-over-year revenue growth.

With this new funding, Vercel aims to accelerate the development of its AI Cloud platform. This platform is designed to offer both enterprise-grade security and a top-notch developer experience for teams focused on building intelligent applications. Furthermore, Vercel is committed to enhancing v0, its groundbreaking AI development agent that facilitates full-stack application creation through natural language prompts. V0 has already attracted over 3.5 million unique users, with Teams and Enterprise accounts now contributing more than 50% of its revenue.

In recognition of the fact that 70% of development ideation takes place outside of traditional work hours, Vercel has launched v0 Mobile in public beta, with general availability expected in October. The mobile application empowers developers to build applications using voice prompts and camera inputs while on the move. An impressive waitlist of over 10,000 users indicates strong interest, underscoring the demand for such a tool. V0 Mobile not only syncs with existing chats but also sends push notifications for completed builds, allowing developers to act on their inspiration immediately.

Vercel has plans to advance its AI Gateway, AI Sandbox, and AI SDK, which boasts an impressive 3 million weekly downloads, solidifying its position as a leader in enabling enterprise AI adoption.

As security concerns surrounding “vibecoding” emerged as a significant trend in 2025, Vercel has established itself as a trusted platform for organizations that prioritize risk management. Its AI-native infrastructure includes built-in security to handle untrusted code, effectively manage AI workflows, and protect against emerging threats associated with artificial intelligence.

The AI Cloud serves a diverse range of industry leaders, from up-and-coming AI innovators like Browserbase, Granola, and Luma to established enterprises such as PayPal, Supreme, and Under Armour. Major global brands, including AT&T, Hulu, Nike, Target, and Walmart, continue to build their applications using Next.js, the open-source React framework developed by Vercel.

This year, Vercel has also enhanced its leadership team with key executive hires. Jeanne Grosser, who previously served as Chief Business Officer at Stripe, will step into the role of COO. Keith Messick, formerly the CMO at Redis, has been appointed as CMO. Aparna Sinha, who was the Head of Enterprise AI/ML Products at Capital One, joins as SVP of Product, while Werner Schwock, the former Chief Accounting Officer at HashiCorp, is now the CAO. Lastly, Talha Tariq, who was the CTO (Security) at IBM, will start as the CTO (Security) in October 2025, ensuring a robust leadership structure as Vercel continues its ambitious growth trajectory.
