Verdantas Acquires Civilitude Engineers & Planners To Expand In Central Texas

Verdantas acquired Austin-based Civilitude Engineers & Planners, expanding its engineering, infrastructure, environmental, water, and digital consulting capabilities in Texas.

Civilitude was founded in 2010 and has developed into a multidisciplinary civil engineering and planning firm serving public agencies, nonprofits, architects, and private development projects.

Its capabilities include water and wastewater infrastructure, utility coordination, permitting, land development, site development, roadway design, and construction administration.

The company has worked on affordable housing, educational facilities, urban redevelopment, municipal infrastructure, and other projects throughout Central Texas.

Verdantas said Civilitude also brings experience navigating the state’s regulatory, permitting, and entitlement environment.

The combination expands Verdantas’ ability to support projects from initial planning and environmental assessment through engineering design, permitting, and project delivery.

It is particularly focused on developments where land-use planning, flood mitigation, water infrastructure, and environmental requirements intersect.

Civilitude’s local engineering and planning capabilities will be combined with Verdantas’ broader environmental, water, power, and digital consulting platform.

Verdantas said the acquisition also provides a larger base for additional growth across Texas.

Sterling Investment Partners is an investor in the Verdantas platform.
