Verdantas announced that it has acquired Yu & Associates, a geotechnical, environmental, and civil engineering firm headquartered in Elmwood Park, New Jersey. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The acquisition expands Verdantas’ presence in the Northeast and strengthens its capabilities in geotechnical engineering and environmental remediation.
Founded in 1992, Yu & Associates provides technical services for infrastructure projects across the region. The firm has expertise in geotechnical engineering, environmental services, and site and civil engineering.
Yu & Associates serves public and private sector clients, with much of its work coming from long-standing repeat relationships. The company has supported transportation, aviation, public buildings, and resiliency projects throughout New York and New Jersey.
Verdantas said the acquisition gives the company deeper technical expertise and local insight near New York City and surrounding infrastructure markets.
Yu & Associates has also experienced strong growth in recent years and has contributed to major transportation, transit, airport, and resiliency initiatives in the Northeast.
The firm’s ability to support projects from investigation and design through construction monitoring aligns with Verdantas’ integrated service model.
Clients of both companies are expected to benefit from expanded technical expertise, broader regional coverage, and the combined strength of a national platform with local roots.
