Verizon Unlimited Customers To Get 6 Months Of Apple Music For Free

Verizon has set up an exclusive partnership with Apple where new and current Verizon Unlimited customers will receive 6 months of Apple Music for free.

This is a great extra perk for Verizon customers who are opting for more expensive data plans. And it will also help Apple bolster its subscriber count for Apple Music.

Mashable pointed out that users who already took advantage of the three months of Apple Music are still eligible for this deal. This could potentially give some Apple Music users a total of 9 months for free.

The offer is going to begin on Thursday, August 16th and it does not have an expiration date as of yet. Verizon said it will reveal the redemption process on that date.

“This first-of-its-kind offer is just the first step in an exclusive partnership with Apple,” said Verizon’s VP of Marketing Angie Klein in a statement. “It gives our customers exactly what they want: Apple’s best-in-class music streaming experience, paired with an unlimited plan tailored to them, on the network they deserve. And now that you can mix and match our unlimited plans, every person in your family can stream worry-free on the unlimited plan they need, without paying for things they don’t – and enjoy all the music they want for six months free with Apple Music with this exclusive offer in the U.S.”

Verizon revealed three new Unlimited plans earlier this summer.  This includes the Go Unlimited, Beyond Unlimited, and Above Unlimited plans. The higher plans offer HD quality streaming at 720p whereas the cheaper Go Unlimited plan offers 480p streaming. And the more expensive plans also have higher mobile hotspot speeds.
