Vero Fiber: Acquisition Of BendTel Completed

By Amit Chowdhry • Dec 4, 2025

Vero Broadband has officially closed its acquisition of BendTel after securing final FCC approval, bringing the Central Oregon telecom provider fully into the Vero organization. The deal strengthens Vero’s footprint in Bend and accelerates its rollout of residential Fiber-to-the-Home services across the region, including expansions into Old Bend and the Orchard District.

Vero began deploying FTTH earlier this year in neighborhoods such as Portland Avenue and River West. With BendTel absorbed, the combined company plans to move faster, adding thousands of new households to its gigabit-class network while integrating BendTel’s staff, infrastructure, and long-standing commercial client base.

CEO Sunita Krishna said the acquisition marks a strategic milestone as Vero scales its presence across Central Oregon. BendTel CEO Tom Barrett added that joining Vero gives customers and employees greater resources, broader reach, and the ability to serve the region at a higher velocity.

The deal closed on December 1, 2025.
