Verra Mobility has appointed Jon Newhard as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective November 1, 2026, following a comprehensive board-led search supported by executive search firm Spencer Stuart.
Newhard brings more than two decades of leadership experience across transportation, intelligent transportation systems, enterprise software and technology-enabled businesses.
He most recently served as CEO of Yunex Traffic, a global provider of intelligent transportation systems and smart mobility solutions.
At Yunex, Newhard was responsible for strategy, operations and financial performance across the company’s global footprint.
Before Yunex, he served as CEO of artificial intelligence company Clinc and General Manager of Cubic ITS.
Newhard also served as CEO of Advanced Traffic Solutions, also known as Trafficware, where he led the company’s turnaround and growth strategy through its acquisition by Cubic Corporation.
His previous experience also includes serving as Chairman of Miovision and as a board member of Synapse ITS.
Newhard holds a degree in Economics and Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
He succeeds Jon Keyser, who has served as Verra Mobility’s Interim President and CEO since June 2026.
Keyser and Verra Mobility’s board have agreed that he will remain with the company in an advisory capacity to assist with the transition before leaving to pursue other opportunities.
Verra Mobility provides smart mobility technology spanning transportation safety systems, parking management and payment, utilization and compliance solutions for fleet owners and rental car companies.
