Vertiv announced the completion of its acquisition of ThermoKey, a provider of heat rejection and heat-exchange technologies, strengthening the company’s thermal management portfolio and manufacturing capabilities for AI factories and high-density data centers.
The deal enhances Vertiv’s presence in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) and expands its ability to deliver integrated thermal architectures designed to support multiple generations of compute infrastructure.
Founded in 1991, ThermoKey brings more than three decades of engineering expertise and in-house design and manufacturing capabilities. Its portfolio includes heat-exchange solutions, dry coolers, and technologies compatible with low-global-warming-potential and natural refrigerants. Vertiv already incorporates ThermoKey technologies into certain thermal solutions.
Vertiv said the acquisition strengthens its ability to provide system-level cooling solutions as demand for AI infrastructure accelerates. ThermoKey will also benefit from Vertiv’s global footprint and expanded market access.
ThermoKey’s operations in Rivarotta, Italy, will remain a key center for manufacturing, engineering, and support. Giuseppe Visentini will continue serving as CEO of ThermoKey to ensure continuity for customers, employees, and partners.
Headquartered in Westerville, Ohio, Vertiv provides power, cooling, infrastructure, software, and services for data centers, communication networks, and industrial facilities. The company operates in more than 130 countries.
