Vertiv To Buy Great Lakes Rack Manufacturing For $200 Million

Vertiv, a global provider of critical digital infrastructure, has agreed to acquire the Great Lakes Data Racks & Cabinets family of companies for $200 million. Known for its innovative and customized data rack enclosures, Great Lakes plays a vital role in modern data centers.

The acquisition price represents approximately 11.5 times the expected 2026 EBITDA, considering potential cost synergies. This will enhance Vertiv’s ability to offer pre-engineered, AI-ready rack solutions for various computing markets.

Founded in 1985 and based in Edinboro, Pennsylvania, Great Lakes has manufacturing facilities in the U.S. and Europe, offering standard and custom racks, integrated cabinets, and advanced cable management options. By combining expertise, Vertiv aims to improve deployment speed, operational efficiency, and scalability for AI and edge computing applications.
