Veryon has acquired Polaris Aero, adding aviation safety management software and more than 200 customers to its aviation maintenance technology platform. Scottsdale, Arizona-based Polaris Aero has provided safety management solutions to aircraft operators and maintenance, repair, and overhaul organizations since 2007.
Its products include VOCUS SMS, FlightRisk and GroundRisk, which are used by corporate flight departments, charter operators and MROs for compliance management, risk assessment and operational safety.
The transaction adds more than 200 customers to Veryon’s portfolio.
The combination also brings together Polaris Aero’s de-identified dataset of more than 112,000 safety reports, 32 million FlightRisk assessments and 174 million flight hazards with Veryon’s dataset of more than 100 million maintenance events.
Veryon plans to use the combined information to improve Veryon AIRE, its AI-powered data intelligence platform, by providing more integrated insights across aviation safety, maintenance and reliability.
Polaris Aero will initially continue operating as a separate business unit with its existing products, contracts and customer support unchanged while the companies develop a longer-term integration plan.
Veryon ultimately plans to connect maintenance tracking, MRO management and safety management capabilities while integrating safety and maintenance data across its platform.
Veryon currently serves more than 5,500 customers, 75,000 maintenance professionals and 100 OEMs across nearly 150 countries.
