Vesper Infrastructure Partners announced that its Vesper Next Generation Infrastructure Fund I has reached a final close with total assets under management exceeding €1 billion, surpassing its initial €800 million target.
The fundraising attracted more than 50 institutional investors across Europe and North America, including pension funds, insurance companies, asset managers, and family offices, underscoring strong demand for specialized infrastructure strategies focused on next-generation assets. The fund ranks among the largest first-time value-add infrastructure funds globally since 2023.
Vesper’s strategy targets mid-market opportunities across key sectors including sustainable and decentralized energy, social infrastructure, digital and data infrastructure, and mission-critical transport. The approach is aligned with broader European priorities around energy security and strategic autonomy.
Since launching in 2023, the fund has reviewed approximately 400 investment opportunities and completed six investments, including RAD-x, EAG Bioenergy, SAF Aerogroup, BioHold, Thésée, and Terakraft. The portfolio currently spans seven European countries, with plans to expand to nine or ten companies as additional investments are completed.
The milestone reflects both investor confidence in Vesper’s value-add approach and momentum in deploying capital across high-growth infrastructure segments. The firm has also expanded its platform to approximately 20 professionals across offices in Milan, London, Hamburg, and Madrid, supported by a leadership team with extensive experience in global infrastructure transactions.
The successful close positions the fund to continue building its portfolio and executing on its investment pipeline across Europe’s evolving infrastructure landscape.
KEY QUOTE:
“This milestone represents a strong validation of the strategy and investor trust, with the focus now on delivering value across the existing portfolio and completing the investment pipeline.”
Livio Fenati, Founder And CEO, Vesper Infrastructure Partners
