Vestmark announced that Freedom Dumlao has been appointed Chief AI Officer, expanding his responsibilities while continuing to serve as Chief Technology Officer.
In the expanded role, Dumlao will lead the firm’s artificial intelligence strategy and oversee the continued development and deployment of AI capabilities across Vestmark’s platform. The company said these initiatives are focused on enhancing key workflows, including portfolio management, trading and rebalancing, compliance monitoring, and tax-aware investment processes.
Vestmark said Dumlao will also guide efforts to unify compliance oversight, optimization, and automation into a single operating model, with the goal of helping wealth management firms scale efficiently while maintaining precision, transparency, and fiduciary standards.
The appointment reflects the company’s broader push to embed intelligence across its platform and drive greater operational efficiency, personalization, and scale. Dumlao will work closely with engineering, data, and product teams to accelerate AI integration across development and delivery workflows.
Vestmark supports more than $2 trillion in assets and five million investor accounts, working with over 72,000 financial advisors and offering access to more than 1,200 investment strategies through its model marketplace.
