Viabot, an autonomous robotics company focused on outdoor commercial property care, announced that it has raised $24 million in Series A funding led by Walden International, with participation from CDIB Capital and Stalwart Ventures, along with existing investors Baseline Ventures, ERA Ventures, Morado Ventures, and SOSV. The financing brings Viabot’s total capital raised to $43 million.
The company plans to use the new funding to expand its sales and engineering teams, accelerate new product development, and continue improving its robotics-as-a-service offering and flagship Viabot One platform.
Viabot develops autonomous robots designed to handle trash removal, debris cleanup, and site monitoring across large commercial properties.
Its flagship Viabot One currently services approximately 25 million square feet of commercial property, and the company said the robotic intelligence behind the platform has been trained on more than 5 billion square feet of real-world multimodal data.
Viabot One is designed as an autonomous outdoor property-care platform capable of sweeping debris while also supporting site monitoring across large commercial environments.
The robot uses cameras, lidar, depth sensors, DGPS, and dynamic path planning to map and navigate its surroundings, follow scheduled routes, and adapt as conditions change. After completing a run, the robot automatically returns to its docking station to recharge and empty collected debris into standard trash bins. The system requires only a standard 120V outlet.
The company initially introduced its RUNO prototype in 2021 and spent several years developing and validating the mobile intelligence platform that later became Viabot One.
That development process included real-world deployments that the company said led to contract renewals and increased customer orders, while Viabot also established its production line and expanded service nationally across the South, Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, and Western United States.
Viabot’s customer base includes Fortune 500 retailers, higher education institutions, multinational real estate owners, developers, property management firms, healthcare organizations, and utility companies.
The company’s robots are deployed across environments including retail centers, shopping and entertainment destinations, Class A office properties, healthcare facilities, and utility sites.
Viabot is positioning autonomous outdoor maintenance as an alternative to relying entirely on manual labor for repetitive property-care tasks such as sweeping and debris removal.
The company also sees a large addressable market in litter cleanup. Businesses spend an estimated $9.1 billion annually on litter cleanup, while the broader outdoor autonomous sweeper and commercial cleaning robotics markets continue to expand.
The global outdoor autonomous sweeper market was estimated at approximately $1.17 billion in 2025 and is projected to reach $3.5 billion by 2035, while robotics-as-a-service demand increased 42% in 2024, according to figures cited by Viabot.
Viabot One is designed to collect a wide range of debris, from fine dust, gravel, and leaves to litter, organics, and material up to 10 inches in size.
The platform can operate for up to six hours, supports interchangeable tools, and is designed to withstand extreme outdoor temperatures. Its docking station and robot together occupy no more than a single parking space.
In addition to autonomous cleaning, the platform includes site-monitoring functionality capable of identifying activity such as loitering and trespassing in restricted areas. Human personnel can monitor and respond to alerts generated by the system.
Viabot operates its technology using a robotics-as-a-service model, allowing customers to deploy autonomous property-care capabilities without purchasing and operating the equipment entirely on their own.
The company was founded by CEO Gregg Ratanaphanyarat and CTO Dawei Ding, who developed the original idea while attending college. Viabot publicly launched in 2021 with $6.1 million in seed funding before expanding nationally with Viabot One in 2025.
With the Series A financing, Viabot plans to increase deployments and continue developing the intelligence behind its autonomous systems as enterprise demand grows for robotic solutions capable of performing repetitive outdoor maintenance and monitoring tasks.
KEY QUOTES:
“We founded Viabot on the belief that technology should be extremely helpful, beautifully-designed, and built to perform meaningful tasks that give teams their time back. This investment marks an important new chapter in pursuit of that mission.”
Gregg Ratanaphanyarat, CEO and Co-Founder of Viabot
“We invest in teams that combine technical depth with the discipline to solve important customer problems. Viabot has demonstrated both by building a compelling platform with a clear focus on real-world customer value. The best technology becomes part of everyday life without asking people to think twice. Viabot produces robots that are both highly capable and thoughtfully designed for the communities, campuses and commercial properties they serve.”
Steve Anderson, Founder of Baseline Ventures
“Viabot One is already operating at a meaningful scale, helping property teams maintain cleaner, safer and more reliable environments across 25 million square feet of commercial property. This funding enables us to build on that foundation: expanding our team, advancing the intelligence behind our platform and bringing practical, dependable robotics to more of the places where people live, work and gather.”
