European AI startup Viktor has appointed Robbie O’Connor as Chief Revenue Officer to lead its next phase of commercial growth. O’Connor previously held commercial leadership roles at Dropbox, Asana and Notion. He will oversee Viktor’s revenue strategy as the company expands adoption of its AI employee platform among enterprise customers.

The appointment comes as businesses move beyond AI copilots that assist employees with individual tasks toward autonomous agents capable of completing broader workflows and taking responsibility for defined work.

Viktor’s AI employee can receive instructions through Slack or Microsoft Teams, perform tasks across more than 3,200 business applications and learn how an organization operates over time.

The product is designed to interact with employees through communication tools they already use rather than requiring them to work within a separate AI interface.

Viktor describes a central part of its technology as a harness layer that helps AI agents understand a user’s intent, operate within established business processes and complete work across multiple software systems.

This layer is intended to bridge the gap between the reasoning capabilities of an AI model and the practical requirements involved in performing work inside an organization.

O’Connor joins Viktor following a year-long sabbatical during which he worked with venture capital firms including Atomico, Index Ventures and OnePeak.

During that period, he advised portfolio companies and evaluated AI startups, giving him exposure to different approaches for commercializing artificial intelligence and identifying where the technology was already generating measurable business value.

O’Connor decided to return to an operating role after concluding that Viktor had developed the infrastructure needed to make AI agents function more like digital employees rather than standalone chatbots or task-specific assistants.

His appointment also reflects confidence in the ability of European startups to build globally significant AI companies.

Viktor has experienced rapid growth since launching publicly. The company said it reached a $24 million revenue run rate within four months of its public launch and has grown to more than 5,000 paying customers.

A revenue run rate annualizes a company’s recent revenue performance to provide an indication of its current commercial scale. It does not necessarily represent revenue already recognized over a full year.

Viktor also raised a $75 million Series A round led by Accel. The financing included support from angel investors such as Slack co-founders Stewart Butterfield and Cal Henderson, Synthesia co-founder and CEO Victor Riparbelli, and investor Harry Stebbings.

The company recently expanded its workplace integrations by launching its AI employee on Microsoft Teams in addition to Slack.

As Chief Revenue Officer, O’Connor will be responsible for translating Viktor’s early customer growth into a broader and more repeatable commercial strategy.

His responsibilities are expected to include enterprise sales, market expansion, customer adoption and the development of processes capable of supporting continued growth across multiple regions.

The appointment gives Viktor an executive with experience scaling collaboration and productivity software companies as it seeks to establish autonomous AI agents as a new category of enterprise technology.
