VinFast and GSM announced a series of senior leadership changes as Vingroup companies accelerate their global expansion and transition additional responsibilities to a younger generation of executives.
Pham Nhat Quan Anh, currently Chairman of VinFast Global, will also become Chief Executive Officer of VinFast Global, succeeding Pham Nhat Vuong. He will concurrently serve as Chairman and CEO of VinFast Vietnam, giving him comprehensive responsibility for VinFast’s operations as the electric vehicle company enters its next stage of growth.
Quan Anh was appointed Chairman of VinFast Global in May 2026. Born in 1993, he holds a bachelor’s degree from Singapore Management University and has held several leadership positions across VinFast and other businesses within the Vingroup ecosystem.
His previous roles have given him experience spanning VinFast’s domestic development and international expansion. Alongside his VinFast responsibilities, Quan Anh will continue serving as Chief Executive Officer of VinMetal Trading and Production JSC, a steel manufacturer within the Vingroup ecosystem.
The leadership transition comes as VinFast continues expanding its global manufacturing and commercial footprint. The company currently has a presence in 16 countries, including Vietnam, India, Indonesia, the Philippines, markets across Europe and the Middle East, and North America.
VinFast electric vehicles and electric motorcycles are manufactured at four facilities across Vietnam, Indonesia and India.
GSM is also making changes to its senior leadership. Nguyen Quoc Tuan, currently CEO of GSM Global, has been appointed Chairman of GSM Global, succeeding Pham Thu Huong.
Pham Nhat Minh Hoang will succeed Tuan as Chief Executive Officer of GSM Global and will concurrently serve as Chief Executive Officer of GSM Vietnam.
Born in 2000, Minh Hoang has held leadership positions at VinFast, Green Future, VinSmart Future, GSM and other companies. He has also invested in and serves as a major shareholder of businesses across the Vingroup ecosystem spanning industrial, technology, energy, infrastructure, venture investment and robotics.
GSM operates the Green SM electric mobility platform in seven countries, including Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia, the Philippines, India, Kazakhstan and Denmark. The company plans to enter at least three additional markets during 2026.
GSM is also pursuing a longer-term goal of becoming a globally scaled public company with shares listed on an international stock exchange.
Vingroup said the leadership appointments reflect its broader effort to develop internal talent and transfer additional operating responsibility to younger executives as VinFast, GSM and other businesses within the ecosystem enter increasingly international phases of development.
