Vintage Investment Partners announced that David Chiodo has joined the firm’s investment team as it strengthens its presence in North America. The global venture capital platform, founded in 2003 and managing more than $4.4 billion in assets under management, said Chiodo will be based in New York and will focus on deepening engagement with venture capital fund managers, founders, and the broader venture ecosystem across the United States and Canada.
Vintage has long been active in the North American venture market, investing in leading venture funds and private technology companies while facilitating cross-border investment and corporate innovation through its fund-of-funds, growth, and secondary investment strategies. Establishing a dedicated presence in New York is intended to reinforce the firm’s commitment to supporting partners across the region.
Chiodo brings experience in fund investments, venture secondaries, and portfolio value creation. Prior to joining Vintage, he served as vice president at Sagard Private Equity Solutions (formerly Performance Equity Management), where he helped lead the firm’s emerging venture program. His responsibilities included sourcing, evaluating, and managing venture capital fund commitments as well as executing GP-led, LP-led, and direct secondary transactions.
Earlier in his career, Chiodo was a senior associate at EY-Parthenon in the Private Equity Value Creation practice, advising private equity clients on operational diligence, transaction execution, and portfolio strategy across the technology, transportation, and industrial sectors. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in policy analysis and management from Cornell University and serves as co-head of the New York City chapter of the Emerging Allocators Association.
Founded in 2003, Vintage Investment Partners operates as a global venture capital platform investing across fund-of-funds, secondary, and growth-stage strategies in the United States, Europe, Israel, and Canada. The firm reports exposure, directly and indirectly, to more than 7,400 technology companies through its investments in venture funds and growth-stage startups. Through its Value+ platform, which connects venture-backed startups with corporations seeking innovation, Vintage says it has facilitated more than 300 pilots, purchase orders, and paid proofs-of-concept that have generated hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue for startups.
