Vise and Bitwise Asset Management have launched diversified crypto model portfolios for financial advisers using Vise’s autonomous investing platform.
The models will be available to hundreds of wealth management firms representing more than 135,000 accounts and more than $140 billion in assets on the Vise platform.
Bitwise manages more than $9 billion in client crypto assets.
The new offering is designed to integrate digital assets into the same portfolio framework advisers use for equities, fixed income and alternative investments.
Rather than operating crypto as a separate account or allocation, Vise will incorporate Bitwise models according to each household’s goals and risk profile.
The positions can then be rebalanced on the same schedule and managed using the same tax-management framework applied to the rest of a Vise portfolio.
Bitwise will provide research and portfolio construction expertise used to select crypto-focused exchange-traded products.
Its “Core” models offer broader exposure to the crypto ecosystem.
“Thematic” models are designed for more targeted strategies, including risk-managed exposure and digital assets beyond bitcoin.
The models will be systematically monitored and rebalanced to reduce drift from target allocations.
Vise and Bitwise are entering a market in which third-party model portfolios have become an increasingly important tool for financial advisers.
Citing Morningstar research, the companies said assets following third-party model portfolios increased from $400 billion in 2023 to more than $930 billion in 2026.
