Vistage has acquired its longtime licensee, TEC Canada, in a move that expands the reach and impact of CEO peer advisory across the country. The acquisition brings together two organizations with a shared history dating back decades and strengthens Vistage’s presence in one of its most established international markets.
Since 1957, Vistage has brought together high‑performing CEOs and business leaders through confidential peer advisory boards designed to improve leadership effectiveness and accelerate business growth. Today, more than 45,000 members worldwide rely on Vistage for perspective, clarity and support in making decisions that affect their businesses, families and communities.
Peer advisory was first introduced to Canada in 1985 when Dr. W. Lynn Tanner founded TEC Canada. Over the past four decades, TEC Canada has grown into a thriving community of more than 1,600 members and over 75 Chairs, becoming one of Vistage’s longest‑standing and most successful licensees. The organization has built a strong network of CEOs, executives and business owners committed to leadership development and improved business outcomes.
With the acquisition, TEC Canada will continue operating with leadership continuity. Pearl Gittins and Jody Milhousen have been appointed Co‑General Managers, bringing deep experience and longstanding relationships within the TEC community. Vistage says the transition will give members and Chairs access to broader resources, deeper global connections and an expanded platform for growth.
Vistage leadership emphasized that the acquisition reflects years of shared vision and alignment between the organizations. The company says the move supports its long‑term goal of being the most trusted resource for CEOs and owners of small and midsize businesses around the world.
