VisualLogix, a New York-based developer of mission-critical engineering and fabrication software, has acquired refyne Group, a DACH-region software company serving wood, metal, and façade fabricators. Financial terms were not disclosed. The acquisition expands VisualLogix’s geographic footprint into Europe while adding a suite of established products that extend its portfolio into CAD, CAM, thermal analysis, and ERP solutions for the fabrication market.
VisualLogix’s existing portfolio includes AutoSPRINK, AlarmCAD, and Metal Building Software (MBS), which are used by fire protection engineers, alarm system designers, and structural fabricators across North America and internationally. refyne Group adds six software products — Athena, Apollon, TrunCAD, nCAD, flixo, and Triviso — that together form an integrated design-to-production workflow platform for fabricators across the DACH region. The combined portfolio covers the full lifecycle from CAD and CAM through thermal analysis and ERP, and is deeply embedded in the daily workflows of its respective customer bases.
VisualLogix described the strategic rationale as an extension of a core operating philosophy: that mission-critical engineering software requires domain expertise, continuous investment in innovation, and long-term customer commitment. The company is developing a common AI foundation intended to enhance every product across the combined portfolio, with a focus on automating complex workflows, improving productivity, and increasing precision throughout the design and manufacturing process.
