VitaWorks announced the acquisition of Phlex Nutritional Manufacturing, a 70,000-square-foot facility in Phoenix, Arizona, significantly expanding its production capacity, technical capabilities, and national manufacturing footprint.
The facility, originally built by All-Fill Machinery, adds advanced infrastructure for high-speed powder filling, pouching, stick pack production, and large-scale packet manufacturing, along with specialized capabilities for probiotic and effervescent products. The site also features environmentally controlled production suites designed for handling sensitive ingredients and complex formulations.
The acquisition strengthens VitaWorks’ position in the health and wellness manufacturing sector by broadening its form factor and delivery system capabilities, enabling the company to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions across a wide range of product categories.
In parallel with the acquisition, VitaWorks expanded its partnership with Döhler to establish a Döhler Flavor Lab within the newly acquired facility. The lab will focus on flavor development, natural ingredient innovation, and custom extract solutions, enhancing VitaWorks’ ability to bring differentiated products to market more efficiently.
With the addition of Phlex, VitaWorks’ network, including VitaWorks East, VitaWorks West, Gummy Works, and Celmark, now spans more than 450,000 square feet of manufacturing space across Arizona, New Jersey, and Florida. The expanded platform supports a wide range of delivery systems, including powders, gummies, capsules, tablets, liquid ingestibles, functional foods, and skincare products.
The company said the transaction marks a key milestone in its long-term strategy to build a fully integrated, innovation-driven manufacturing platform serving brands across health, nutrition, beauty, and personal care markets.
