Vocca raised $20 million in Series A funding to expand its AI platform for patient communication and healthcare scheduling. The round was led by Norrsken VC, with participation from Heal Capital, Speedinvest, and Firstminute Capital. Angel investors participating in the financing include founders of Alan and Datadog. The round brings Vocca’s total funding to $25 million.
Vocca develops specialized AI agents that handle patient interactions for medical practices, including phone calls, appointment scheduling, exam preparation questions, and administrative requests.
The company said its platform now manages more than one million patient interactions per month across more than 20 medical specialties.
Vocca has grown from approximately 2,000 medical practitioners using its platform a year ago to 15,000 today.
The company is now deployed across roughly 1,500 medical practices in the U.S. and Europe.
Over the same period, monthly conversation volume increased tenfold to more than one million inbound calls, while revenue increased sevenfold.
Vocca said its platform resolves approximately 70% of patient conversations from beginning to end without human involvement.
Its most mature customers report automation rates above 85%.
Customers include DAG Dental, which operates 37 practices, Point Vision with 67 ophthalmology practices, Résonance Imagerie with 60 imaging centers, and Hôpital Fondation de Rothschild.
Hôpital Fondation de Rothschild uses Vocca for patient intake, calls, and confirmations across approximately 350,000 patients annually.
Vocca’s technology is designed around specialty-specific scheduling rules rather than a general-purpose AI model.
Its scheduling engine includes models built for individual medical specialties and can distinguish between hundreds of different medical exams.
The company said this allows practices to deploy the system in days rather than months.
Vocca was founded in July 2024 by Eliott Hoffenberg and Hugo Danet.
The company employs approximately 40 people across New York and Paris and plans to hire another 40 employees by the end of 2026.
Vocca plans to use the Series A funding to expand its scheduling infrastructure, support additional medical specialties and more complex workflows, introduce communication channels beyond voice, and deepen its presence in the U.S.
The company is positioning conversational AI as the next stage of healthcare automation following the adoption of AI-powered clinical documentation tools.
Vocca’s longer-term goal is to reduce friction between patients and healthcare providers by improving access to scheduling, preparation information, and appropriate care.
KEY QUOTES:
“Practices don’t ask us about price. They ask how fast we can deploy and how we handle their edge cases. Doctors want an AI that works like their best scheduler, follows the rules of their specialty to the letter, and fills more appointments without compromising on quality.”
Eliott Hoffenberg, CEO and Co-Founder of Vocca
“Vocca resolves more than 75% of calls fully autonomously: booking appointments, answering questions about exams, consultation preparation, and administrative requests. For the remaining quarter, the AI immediately transfers urgent calls to the front-desk staff and calls back complex, lower-priority requests. Teams can then focus on the patients who truly need to speak with a person.”
Charlotte Cardin-Taillia, Deputy General Director of Hôpital Fondation de Rothschild
“We tested a handful of AI tools across different offices. Vocca was the clear winner, and we rolled it out across the group. It absorbs the volume and the repetition. Our teams keep the judgement calls, they’ve gained back hours a day, and our patient satisfaction has never been higher.”
Opal Anderson, Chief Operating Officer at DAG Dental
“We’ve rarely seen customer love like this in healthcare. After speaking with Vocca’s customers, we knew we had to back this company. The team’s vision goes far beyond phone calls. They’re building the healthcare experience every patient wishes they had.”
Alexander Danielsson, General Partner at Norrsken VC
