Volara Motorsports: Acquisition Of Lynx Motor Works Expands Premium Automotive Portfolio

By Amit Chowdhry ● Today at 11:45 AM

Volara Motorsports Group announced the acquisition of Austin-based Lynx Motor Works, a manufacturer of limited-production reimagined classic vehicles inspired by motorsport heritage and bespoke craftsmanship. The acquisition represents one of the largest investments made by Volara Motorsports Group to date and reinforces the company’s strategy of growing a portfolio of iconic performance automotive brands.

Founded around the concept of building highly customized commissioned vehicles, Lynx Motor Works creates ultra-low-volume supercars through a personalized development process that combines race-inspired engineering with modern performance execution. The company caters to collectors and enthusiasts through private design consultations, personalized build experiences, custom delivery programs, and long-term ownership services.

Under the new ownership structure, Lynx Motor Works will continue operating independently while gaining access to Volara’s financial resources, operational infrastructure, marketing capabilities, and international distribution network. The company said Lynx plans to introduce four initial vehicle programs in the near future, including the GT LM, which is scheduled to launch in early 2027.

The acquisition also strengthens Lynx’s position within the motorsports industry through Volara’s strategic partnership with Graham Rahal. The relationship is expected to expand the brand’s visibility among affluent automotive collectors and motorsports enthusiasts while reinforcing the performance-focused identity of Lynx vehicles.

Volara said it will provide centralized expertise across finance, operations, and marketing while preserving Lynx’s handcrafted production philosophy and exclusive customer experience. Lynx will continue operating with its own Client Directors and bespoke commissioning process.

Volara Motorsports Group is headquartered in Austin, Texas, and focuses on investing in motorsports and performance-oriented businesses. The company works with brands across the automotive performance sector to provide operational support, strategic capital, and long-term growth infrastructure.

KEY QUOTE:

“Lynx Motor Works represents exactly the kind of brand we seek — one with an authentic identity, a differentiated product roadmap, and a genuinely rare customer relationship. We are proud to be its steward.”
