Volteum Raises €2.5 Million To Expand EV And Mixed Fleet Management Platform Across Europe

Volteum, a fleet management platform designed for electric and mixed vehicle fleets, announced a €2.5 million funding round led by Movens Capital, with participation from WakeUp Capital and Aidiom, alongside follow-on backing from Day One Capital, Techstars, and Nesprit. The investment follows a €1.25 million pre-seed round and brings the company’s total funding to €3.75 million.

The new capital will support Volteum’s expansion across the UK, BeNeLux, and DACH regions as demand grows for software that helps fleet operators manage the complexities of running both electric and combustion-engine vehicles.

Fleet operators throughout Europe are navigating a transitional period as electrification progresses but remains incomplete. Many organizations now manage mixed fleets consisting of diesel, petrol, and electric vehicles, creating operational challenges that traditional fleet management systems were not designed to address. Charging schedules, battery health monitoring, reimbursement for home charging, and EV-specific maintenance requirements often require separate tools and manual processes.

Volteum’s platform consolidates charging, mileage, maintenance, and operational data into a single system without requiring additional hardware installations. By connecting directly to vehicle manufacturer data, fleets can typically be onboarded within 48 hours without vehicle downtime. The platform uses aggregated operational data to automate reporting, optimize daily fleet operations, and identify unusual vehicle or charging behaviors before they lead to high costs or disruptions.

According to the company, inefficient processes and limited operational visibility can create more than £1 million in avoidable annual costs for a typical 500-vehicle fleet. Volteum says its platform can reduce manual administrative work by up to 90% and lower operational costs by up to 30% through improved charging efficiency, predictive maintenance, and enhanced fleet utilization.

The company’s recommendations around charging, maintenance, battery health, and vehicle usage are powered by software trained on more than 3 billion fleet data points. In addition to day-to-day fleet management, Volteum offers an Electric Fleet Planner workflow designed to help organizations develop long-term electrification strategies while balancing operational and financial considerations.

Volteum already serves organizations including Royal Mail, Bolt, Lex Autolease, Schneider Electric, OTP Bank, NG Bailey, and Dundee City Council. The company plans to focus its expansion efforts on logistics operators, utility providers, and vehicle leasing and rental businesses throughout 2026.

KEY QUOTES:

“We built Volteum to work for fleet managers regardless of where they are in the transition from diesel to electric. Our goal isn’t to push managers into electrifying their entire fleet, but rather give them the knowledge and the tools to make the most cost-effective decisions. This funding round positions us well to expand our work with fleet managers who need serious data transparency.”

Zsófia Tóth, Co-Founder and CEO, Volteum

“Volteum is addressing one of the most practical and underappreciated challenges in the electrification of commercial transport. They’re supporting fleet operators in the move from ambition to operational execution. I’m impressed by the quality of their early customer traction as well as the positivity of customer feedback. Volteum is quickly becoming the decision layer of choice for fleet operations. We are excited to lead this round and support the team as they scale toward becoming a category-defining platform in Europe.”

Artur Banach, Partner, Movens Capital

“Volteum is a technically credible, product-led company that we have watched outperform established incumbents in high-stakes competitive tenders within the highly relevant and complex EV fleet-charging segment. We are delighted to support Volteum as they scale their product and accelerate commercial growth, helping fleet operators across Europe turn the energy transition into a core operational advantage.”

Faye Walsh Drouillard, Managing Partner, WakeUp Capital

“Managing a mixed fleet creates operational complexity very quickly, especially as more electric vehicles are introduced. Volteum gives a much clearer view across vehicles, charging, and maintenance in a single platform, while significantly reducing manual processes for our clients and the team.”
