Volue announced that TA Associates has joined as a new strategic investor alongside Advent International, Generation Investment Management, and Arendals Fossekompani, in a partnership the company framed as strengthening its position as a European leader in electrification technology.
The Oslo-based company described the investment as an endorsement of its strategy and long-term growth prospects following an 18-month transformation to sharpen its focus on the energy sector. Volue said it has divested non-core activities, increased targeted R&D, and pursued strategic acquisitions, positioning the business around integrated technology for power trading and generation, grid optimization, and energy market intelligence.
Volue positioned its platform as serving utilities, grid operators, traders, and energy producers managing rising system complexity, faster market dynamics, and regulatory requirements amid the energy transition. The company also emphasized artificial intelligence as a structural component of modern power systems, describing an AI-driven integrated intelligence platform built on domain expertise, time series data, and operational software to support evolving energy market needs.
Volue noted Stephan Sieber joined as CEO on January 1 and said the company is entering a new phase of focused and accelerated growth, with TA’s capital and experience expected to support innovation, expansion, and M&A.
