Vortex Companies, a global provider of trenchless water and sewer infrastructure solutions, announced the promotion of Matthew Peterson from Senior Vice President of Coatings and Rehab Materials to Executive Vice President of Products & Technologies.

In his expanded role, Peterson will oversee the strategic direction and growth of Vortex’s entire product portfolio, including UV Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) systems, sewer robotics, mortars, polymerics, grouting solutions, and specialty materials. He will lead research and development initiatives, product standardization efforts, and performance optimization programs across the organization while working closely with company leadership to advance innovation and strengthen alignment between product development, field performance, and customer requirements.

Peterson brings more than 25 years of experience in the coatings and materials industry. Throughout his tenure at Vortex, he has held multiple leadership positions within the company’s specialty coatings and rehabilitation materials businesses. He also co-founded Stag Technologies, a polymerics formulation, manufacturing, and installation company that was acquired by Vortex in 2018.

According to the company, Peterson’s promotion reflects its commitment to developing leaders internally while continuing to invest in product innovation and technology development. In his new position, he will collaborate closely with operations, quality control, and commercial teams to ensure that both existing and emerging technologies are effectively implemented, supported, and continuously enhanced through customer feedback and field performance data.

The appointment comes as Vortex continues to expand its global footprint and strengthen its portfolio of infrastructure rehabilitation technologies. The company operates across approximately 50 locations worldwide and provides solutions for the rehabilitation, replacement, and protection of critical water and sewer infrastructure assets. Its offerings include CIPP liners, geopolymer and hybrid mortars, polymeric coatings, resins, grouts, UV curing technologies, sewer robotics, and high-speed drain cleaning equipment.

Vortex serves municipal, industrial, and commercial customers around the world, with a focus on extending the service life of critical infrastructure through advanced technologies and turnkey service offerings.
