Wacoal International: Acquisition Of Glamorise To Expand Size-Inclusive And DTC Capabilities

Wacoal International Corporation announced its agreement to acquire Glamorise Foundations, Inc., strengthening its position in the U.S. intimates market and expanding its capabilities in inclusive sizing and direct-to-consumer channels.

The transaction will see Wacoal integrate Glamorise’s expertise in designing and marketing size-inclusive women’s innerwear, particularly in larger band and cup sizes. The move is expected to enhance Wacoal’s product development capabilities while accelerating growth in digital commerce and e-commerce operations.

Wacoal, a Japan-founded intimates brand with a longstanding presence in the United States since 1985, has built its reputation on fit, quality, and technical innovation. By combining its established retail footprint with Glamorise’s strong digital and direct-to-consumer platform, the company aims to broaden its customer base and improve brand reach.

Glamorise, founded in 1921 and headquartered in New York, has developed a loyal following for its focus on size inclusivity and comfort-driven design. The company is known for proprietary technologies such as MagicLift® and WonderWire®, and its products are widely recognized among consumers seeking supportive options for diverse body types.
