Wafra Closes Constellation Generation V At $2 Billion, Surpassing Target

Wafra, a New York-based alternative investment firm with approximately $30 billion in assets under management, has held the final close of Constellation Generation V (CG V) at $2.0 billion, exceeding the fund’s $1.5 billion fundraising target. CG V is the largest vehicle raised for Wafra’s Capital Constellation strategy since the platform launched in 2012. The fund has already begun deploying capital through strategic partnerships with Niobrara Capital and Gallatin Point Capital.

Capital Constellation is Wafra’s dedicated strategy for making minority investments in next-generation alternative asset managers, pairing permanent capital with institutional expertise and strategic guidance to help specialized firms build and scale enduring investment management businesses. The platform also connects partner managers with a global network of institutional asset owners committed to supporting emerging alternative asset management franchises over the long term.

CG V attracted support from both existing investors and new institutional partners from Asia, Australia, and Latin America, expanding Capital Constellation’s global investor base beyond its prior vintages. Since launching the strategy in 2012, Wafra has committed more than $8 billion across 32 managers through its broader Strategic Partnerships platform, which is co-led by Gustavo Cardenas, Lauren Rich, and Jordan Siskin. That platform spans Capital Constellation for next-generation managers as well as a separate permanent capital vehicle for more established alternative asset management platforms.

Wafra is headquartered in New York with additional offices in London and Bermuda and invests across strategic partnerships, real assets and infrastructure, and real estate.
