Walker & Dunlop announced that it has arranged $625,299,000 in fixed-rate financing through Freddie Mac to refinance a portfolio of eight multifamily properties owned by IMT Capital. The refinance encompasses properties located in six major high-growth markets: San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver, Atlanta, and Nashville. The portfolio consists of 3,096 units across garden-style apartment communities.
Walker & Dunlop Capital Markets arranged the financing on behalf of IMT Capital. The team leading the effort consisted of Cory Wizenberg, Matt Wallach, Stephen West, Walker Layne, AJ Wright, and Sebastian Tamayo.
To complete the refinancing, Walker & Dunlop collaborated closely with Freddie Mac to maintain consistency across loan terms while adhering to each individual loan’s maturity schedule. The transactions were structured to close in four phases, with funding expected to occur between July and October 2025. The phased closing timeline enabled efficient coordination across multiple markets and asset types.
The refinance reflects ongoing investor demand and lending activity in the multifamily sector, particularly in key metropolitan areas with sustained population and employment growth. IMT Capital’s portfolio continues to serve residents across regions with strong rental housing fundamentals and significant housing demand.
