Wallbox announced that it has received approximately €10.5 million through Canada’s clean fuel credit framework for 2025, reflecting eligible electric vehicle charging activity generated by the company’s connected AC chargers installed across the country.
Under Canada’s clean fuel regulations, EV charging sessions that help replace fossil fuels with electricity can generate credits tied to reductions in transportation-related emissions. The funds received by Wallbox are required to be reinvested in Canada through incentives and initiatives aimed at accelerating electric vehicle adoption.
The credits were generated through charging activity from Wallbox AC chargers connected to the company’s digital platform. The company said the milestone highlights the value that connected charging infrastructure can provide beyond the initial installation of hardware.
Wallbox noted that its connected AC chargers supported EV charging activity across Canada throughout 2025, with eligible charging sessions contributing to the creation of clean fuel credits. The company said the achievement demonstrates how its installed base can continue creating value after deployment.
Canada has become an important market for Wallbox, where the company supports residential, commercial, and public charging deployments through its portfolio of AC and DC charging solutions. Participation in clean fuel credit programs strengthens the company’s ability to support new infrastructure deployments while contributing to regional decarbonization goals.
Founded in Barcelona in 2015, Wallbox develops electric vehicle charging and energy management solutions and serves customers in more than 100 countries.
KEY QUOTES:
“This milestone demonstrates the value that connected charging infrastructure can create beyond the initial deployment of hardware. By generating approximately €10.5 million through Canada’s clean fuel credit framework, Wallbox is able to reinvest directly in the region and support customers as they continue expanding access to EV charging. It is a strong example of how our installed base can contribute to both infrastructure growth and the broader transition to electric mobility.”
