Wally raised $25 million in Series A funding to expand its subscription-based dental platform and grow from 15 locations to 100 by the end of 2027. The round was led by Maveron, with participation from Bling Capital and angel investors including Jack Abraham, co-founder of Hims.

Wally also announced a strategic partnership with EMS Dental, the developer of AIRFLOW dental cleaning technology.

The company offers a $249 annual membership that includes unlimited cleanings and diagnostics without requiring traditional dental insurance.

Wally said members can also access additional preventive and restorative treatments at prices that can be up to 75% lower than traditional alternatives.

The company recently surpassed 50,000 members, with members visiting approximately three times per year and giving the platform an average 4.9-star rating.

Wally also reported a 97% hygienist retention rate.

The company currently operates 15 locations across New York City, Philadelphia, Jersey City, and Chicago.

Wally plans to use the new capital to expand into additional metropolitan markets including Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Austin, and Miami.

The company is also hiring clinicians and operational leaders to support its planned expansion.

Wally’s platform combines a membership model with artificial intelligence, diagnostics, and newer dental cleaning technologies.

Its membership includes unlimited preventive hygiene visits, professional whitening, AI-assisted diagnostics, digital X-rays, 3D intraoral scans, saliva testing, and Swiss AIRFLOW cleanings.

The company also offers additional services including cavity reversal treatments, custom nightguards, and clear aligners.

Wally said its cavity reversal offering is designed to stop and remineralize early-stage tooth decay before more invasive restorative treatment becomes necessary.

The company operates locations in coworking spaces, which it says allows for more flexible expansion and faster patient visits.

Wally’s AI-powered application allows members to schedule appointments, review diagnostic results, and access clinical recommendations.

The company is positioning its model as an alternative to traditional dental insurance and fee-for-service dentistry, with a greater focus on preventive care and pricing transparency.

Wally was founded by Tyler Burnett, Stipe Latkovic, and Chelsea Patel.

KEY QUOTES:

“For fifty years, dentistry has run on simple math: get someone in the chair, find something to fix, bill the insurance, repeat. Private equity-run dentistry perfected it. Its works. Just not for people. The future is not more dentistry. We’re rebuilding oral healthcare from the ground up by taking insurance out of the equation and focusing entirely on proactive, technology-driven care.”

Tyler Burnett, Co-Founder and CEO of Wally

“Wally does something no one else in dental has pulled off: pain-free cleanings in half the time, on a single AI-driven platform that runs scheduling, operations, and guides clinicians through every appointment. Dentistry hasn’t had a consumer brand people actually like. We think Wally is that brand, and the hardware, diagnostics, and AI behind it are what make it durable.”
