Wander: $50 Million Series B Raised For Vacation Rental Platform

By Amit Chowdhry • Jun 2, 2025

Wander is a company aiming to address problems with the short-term rental market that announced a $50 million Series B funding round, co-led by QED Investors and Fifth Wall with participation from Redpoint Ventures, Uncork, Starwood, and Breyer Capital and many other returning and new investors.

Wander is building a brand in short-term rentals that combines the dependability of a luxury hotel with the warmth and character of a thoughtfully designed home. Instead of trying to capture the entire market, Wander focuses on the top 5% of properties, which are the homes that already drive 30% of the industry’s revenue.

These properties are then enhanced through WanderOS, delivering consistency and operational excellence across every touchpoint of the guest and owner experience.

With Wander, every stay includes:

1.) Spaces that look even better than the photos

2.) Premium beds, fast Wi-Fi, and seamless check-in

3.) Smart, always-available concierge support powered by humans and AI

WanderOS is also transforming the way short-term rentals are operated, automating everything from listing creation to maintenance coordination. Wander is on track to automate 95% of operational tasks within the next 18 months.

As of April 2025, Wander has over 1,000 incredible homes live, up 14 times year over year, and has seen:

1.) 35,000+ total nights booked as of Q2 2025

2.) A 92.1% customer satisfaction rate and a 9.3/10 average trip rating

3.) 27% repeat customer booking rate

This growth is powered by Wander’s ability to deliver a unified platform that addresses guest experience, owner satisfaction, and operational efficiency, all at scale.

How the funding will be used: The funding will advance Wander’s expansion and deepen its investment in WanderOS, its proprietary AI operating system that manages logistics and guest needs with hotel-grade consistency, at scale.

With this Series B funding, Wander will also expand into new markets, invest further in AI-powered operations, and continue building a global brand grounded in quality, trust, and technology.

KEY QUOTES:

“We are excited to continue to support John Andrew and the whole Wander team by co-leading their Series B round. Wander has built a world-class brand with industry-leading software to bring the Wander experience to thousands. Reviews have been overwhelmingly positive with NPS scores in the 70s and 80s. In just one year, the company has signed over 1,000 homes and looks to continue adding coverage to the map. WanderOS has enabled this tremendous growth while making the process for owners to onboard to Wander seamless.”

Chuckie Reddy, Partner at QED Investors

“The short-term rental market represents a massive and under-optimized asset class, and Wander is uniquely positioned to lead it into its next chapter. By combining premium inventory, a trusted brand, and category-defining software, Wander is setting a new standard for consistency and scale in a historically fragmented space—delivering an end-to-end, high-touch, high-quality travel experience. We’re proud to co-lead this round and to continue backing John Andrew and the Wander team as they redefine the future of travel.”
