Warburg Pincus, a global private equity firm focused on growth investing, announced that Ralph Haupter has joined as an External Senior Advisor to its European Technology team. The appointment strengthens the firm’s efforts to identify and scale software and technology investments across Europe.
Haupter currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer for Small Medium Enterprises and Channel (SME&C) at Microsoft. In his advisory role at Warburg Pincus, he will support the firm in identifying and evaluating new investment opportunities across the software and broader technology sectors. He is also expected to contribute to value-creation initiatives across the firm’s existing portfolio of companies.
Haupter brings more than 25 years of global operating experience in technology innovation and digital transformation. At Microsoft, he leads a worldwide organization that works closely with the company’s partner ecosystem to empower small and medium-sized businesses. Over the course of his career, he has held a range of senior leadership roles, including President of Microsoft EMEA, President of Microsoft Asia, and Chief Executive Officer of Microsoft Germany. Prior to joining Microsoft, he held leadership roles at IBM.
