Waterloo Capital invested in and partnered with Peachtree Financial Group, establishing Waterloo Capital Atlanta and expanding the registered investment adviser’s presence in the Southeast.
Peachtree Financial Group is an Atlanta-based wealth advisory practice led by Stuart Canzeri and David Hughes.
Both executives joined Waterloo Capital as investment adviser representatives.
The practice will now operate under the Waterloo Capital brand as Waterloo Capital Atlanta.
Canzeri was named Managing Partner of Waterloo Capital Atlanta and will lead advisor recruiting efforts across the Atlanta market and the broader Southeast.
Hughes will continue managing client relationships from the firm’s Buckhead office.
Waterloo plans to use the Atlanta location as a platform for recruiting independent financial advisors and established practices.
The company is targeting advisors that want access to institutional investment, tax, technology, compliance, family office, marketing, and operational capabilities while maintaining their client relationships.
Participating advisors will gain access to Waterloo’s integrated infrastructure platform.
The transaction gives Waterloo a foothold in one of the country’s growing wealth management markets while creating a regional base for additional advisor recruitment.
KEY QUOTES:
“Stuart and David have built exactly the kind of practice we look for – deep client relationships, a disciplined planning process, and a clear view of where they want to take the business. Atlanta is one of the most dynamic wealth markets in the country, and Buckhead gives us the right footprint to grow from.”
Waterloo Capital Leadership
“We spent a long time thinking about what our clients would need over the next twenty years, not just the next two. Coming under the Waterloo brand gives us institutional-caliber investment and tax capabilities without changing how we serve people.”
Stuart Canzeri, Managing Partner of Waterloo Capital Atlanta
“This gives our team more capacity to do the work clients actually value – planning, coordination, and being available when it matters.”
David Hughes, Waterloo Capital Atlanta
