Watermill Group, a strategy-driven private investment firm, announced the sale of Cooper Turner Beck (CTB) to Waterland Private Equity, a European private equity firm focused on scaling industrial businesses. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
CTB is a global provider of safety-critical fastening solutions serving the energy, power generation, construction, and other demanding markets. The company designs, manufactures, and distributes fastening products to leading global customers that rely on high-quality components to perform in rigorous operating environments.
During its ownership under Watermill Group, CTB completed transformational acquisitions and expanded its international footprint from operations in three countries to eight countries, with 21 facilities worldwide. The company more than doubled its workforce and became the leading supplier of safety-critical fastening systems to the global energy industry.
CTB achieved significant market share gains and reached its highest levels of profitability in recent quarters, attracting interest from a strong group of potential buyers. The company will now enter its next phase of growth under Waterland’s ownership.
Baird served as sell-side financial advisor on the transaction, while Jasso Lopez and CMS provided sell-side legal advisory services.
The transaction marks another milestone in Watermill’s long-term growth strategy and builds on the firm’s more than 40-year track record of acquiring, transforming, and scaling market-leading companies.
