Watson Farley & Williams has deployed SwiftConnect’s mobile access technology at its new London headquarters at 25 Moorgate, moving more than 450 lawyers and staff to mobile-only workplace credentials.
The international law firm provisioned employees with digital credentials before moving into the new office, allowing staff to use Apple and Android devices instead of traditional plastic access cards.
SwiftConnect’s platform integrates Watson Farley & Williams’ IT and physical access control systems with HID credentials and readers.
The deployment is designed to provide what SwiftConnect calls a Street-to-Seat access experience, enabling employees to use a mobile device throughout different stages of their workplace journey.
Employees can use their digital credentials to enter the building through lobby turnstiles, access office spaces, use smart lockers, and interact with other workplace resources.
The implementation also integrates with Vecos Adaptive Workplace Storage technology for access to employee lockers.
Phoenix Trescray led the installation and configuration of the firm’s access control system at the new headquarters.
The project forms part of Watson Farley & Williams’ broader effort to create a technology-focused workplace that simplifies employee interactions with physical infrastructure.
The system also enables administrators to remotely issue and revoke digital credentials rather than producing and managing physical access cards.
SwiftConnect said the approach can reduce manual administrative work associated with employee onboarding, departures, lost credentials, and changes to workplace permissions.
The move toward digital credentials also supports the law firm’s sustainability objectives by reducing its reliance on plastic badges.
SwiftConnect’s platform connects physical access systems, identity providers, and enterprise IT systems through a centralized access network.
Organizations can use the technology to manage employee credential lifecycles and permissions across doors, floors, buildings, and shared workplace resources.
The platform is designed to work with existing physical security infrastructure, so organizations don’t have to replace their access control systems with a proprietary environment.
For Watson Farley & Williams, the deployment provides a single digital credential for employees across multiple workplace access points within its new London headquarters.
