Waymo announced the launch of Waymo Premier, a new invite-only membership program designed to provide an enhanced experience for its most frequent users as the company continues expanding its fully autonomous ride-hailing service.
The new subscription offering costs $29.99 per month and will initially be available to select riders in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Phoenix. Waymo said the program is intended to provide greater convenience, value, and reliability for customers who rely heavily on the service.
Waymo Premier members will receive priority pickups through prioritized matching, 10% Waymo Cash back on every trip, additional rewards during periods of high demand, early access to Waymo service launches in new cities, and up to five free cancellations each month.
According to Waymo, the benefits are designed to create a more seamless and rewarding experience for riders, with membership perks carrying across cities where the Waymo app operates.
The company said the program reflects its ongoing efforts to refine the rider experience as it scales its autonomous transportation platform to additional markets around the world.
Waymo plans to expand the Premier membership offering to more cities in the future.
