Wayout International has raised €2.42 million in a Series A extension. The Stockholm-based climate technology startup will use the funding to execute its first commercial projects and accelerate international market activities.
The company plans to deploy the capital across initial commercial project delivery, continued industrialization of its platform, expansion of strategic partnerships, and market entry activities. Wayout is targeting high-stress water regions across Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.
Wayout has developed a proprietary Distributed Drinking Water Infrastructure platform designed to produce safe drinking water locally from virtually any source. The system integrates advanced purification, controlled mineralization, reusable logistics, smart dispensing, and digital monitoring.
The company’s model is designed to bypass traditional centralized water distribution. This approach addresses structural challenges in global water infrastructure, including limited access to safely managed drinking water, aging centralized distribution networks, and the carbon and waste burden associated with single-use plastic bottled water.
Wayout’s platform is positioned for regions where water access, infrastructure reliability, and dependence on bottled water create operational and environmental challenges. By enabling local production and reusable distribution, the company aims to reduce reliance on long-distance water transport and disposable packaging.
The company is led by founder and CEO Ulf Stenerhag and Deputy CEO Rodrigo Verduzco Reynoso. The Series A extension is expected to support Wayout’s transition from platform development into commercial execution across international markets.
CVX Ventures highlighted the financing as part of Wayout’s next stage of growth. The capital will help the company expand its commercial footprint while continuing to build partnerships in water-stressed markets.
