Wayy.ai has raised $2 million in pre-seed funding and launched an AI-powered platform that functions as a virtual sales co-founder for solopreneurs and small business owners. The round was led by 0 to 1 Ventures and included strategic angel investor Tunç Yalgin, who previously sold his company to eBay and invested in Wayy.ai founder Leo Popov’s former business, TrueCare24. Other U.S.-based angel investors also participated.
Wayy.ai plans to use the funding to expand its go-to-market operations and accelerate product development. Approximately 70 companies are already using the platform on a recurring basis.
The platform analyzes a user’s company information and LinkedIn profile to understand the business, value proposition and competitive position.
It then identifies potential customers, drafts personalized outreach messages and asks the user for approval before contacting prospects.
Wayy.ai’s qualification engine evaluates potential leads based on industry relevance, seniority, intent signals and alignment with the user’s ideal customer profile.
The system reviews response rates and engagement patterns every three days and adjusts its targeting and messaging strategy. It also monitors conversations within a user’s network to identify potential opportunities.
Wayy.ai said its automated outreach generates an approximate response rate of 3%, compared with the company’s estimated 1.2% to 2% rate for skilled manual outreach.
The company also said users add an average of nine potential clients per month, with businesses serving specialized markets generating the strongest results.
Wayy.ai was founded by CEO Leo Popov and CTO Aleksei Samarin.
Popov previously co-founded healthcare technology company TrueCare24. Samarin holds a doctorate in mathematics focused on artificial intelligence and neural networks and has held engineering roles at VK and LG Electronics.
Wayy.ai is available through monthly subscription plans priced at $49, $99 and $149.
