Wealthspire Launches Sports & Entertainment Practice With Approximately $2.88 Billion In AUM

Wealthspire launched Wealthspire Sports & Entertainment, a dedicated wealth management practice serving professional athletes, entertainers, creators, and other clients with complex financial needs. The practice oversees approximately $2.88 billion in assets under management and serves more than 200 ultra-high-net-worth clients, families, and institutions.

The practice is led by Frank Marzano, CFP, who serves as Managing Director, Head of Wealthspire Sports & Entertainment, and Co-Head of Wealthspire Family Office.

Marzano has more than 25 years of experience advising high-net-worth individuals and families, including athletes, entertainers, producers, and creative executives.

Wealthspire Sports & Entertainment will operate as a vertical within Wealthspire Family Office.

Clients will have access to family office accounting, bill payment, lifestyle and concierge services, wealth strategy, and investment management capabilities.

The practice will address financial issues common among athletes and entertainment professionals, including variable and concentrated income, complex compensation structures, tax and estate planning, real estate, business ventures, charitable giving, and planning for life after a primary career.

Wealthspire will also coordinate with clients’ agents, attorneys, accountants, business managers, and other professional advisors.

Clients with more complex day-to-day business management needs can also access affiliated firm Ground Control Business Management.

KEY QUOTES:

“Success in sports and entertainment can create tremendous opportunity, but it also brings a level of complexity that traditional wealth management may not always address. Our role is to help clients see the full picture, make informed decisions and build a financial foundation designed to last well beyond their playing or performing careers.”

Frank Marzano, Managing Director and Head of Wealthspire Sports & Entertainment

“Some of the most talented people in the world have built careers in industries where change happens quickly. They deserve advisors who understand that environment and can bring both specialized expertise and the resources of a broader wealth management organization to the table.”

Mike LaMena, CEO of Wealthspire

“The best relationships in this business are built on trust. That means being there before the big contract or deal, through the years of success and for the decisions that come afterward. We want to be a long-term partner who helps clients turn what they’ve earned into what they want their lives and legacies to become.”
