Wesco International announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Newark Engineering Group, a Singapore-based provider of engineered cooling solutions and lifecycle services for data centers, in a deal valued at 175 million Singapore dollars, or approximately $136 million.

The acquisition strengthens Wesco’s position in the rapidly growing Southeast Asian market and expands its capabilities in mission-critical data center cooling and lifecycle services. Newark serves customers across Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia, providing design, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and optimization services for advanced thermal management systems.

Wesco said the acquisition will broaden its participation in the data center value chain and provide additional opportunities to serve hyperscale, enterprise, and colocation customers. The company plans to leverage its global customer relationships and cross-sell electrical, communications, and supply chain solutions to Newark’s installed base.

Newark generated approximately $60 million in revenue in 2025 and offers margins that are accretive to Wesco’s portfolio. According to the company, the purchase multiple is below Wesco’s current trading multiple, supporting expectations for attractive returns and margin expansion.

The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2026, subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions.

Headquartered in Singapore, Newark Engineering Group specializes in customized HVAC and thermal management solutions for data centers and other mission-critical infrastructure throughout Southeast Asia. Wesco, based in Pittsburgh, generated approximately $24 billion in sales in 2025 and provides electrical, communications, utility, logistics, and supply chain solutions to customers worldwide.
