Westnet, a provider of fire station alerting and public safety communication systems, announced it has acquired Low Voltage Installations, Inc., a company specializing in the design, installation, and support of fire station alerting and dispatch systems.

The acquisition strengthens Westnet’s ability to deliver end-to-end solutions for emergency response organizations by combining its technology platform with Low Voltage Installations’ field expertise. Low Voltage Installations brings more than 26 years of experience and a strong track record supporting dispatch centers, fire agencies, and hundreds of fire and EMS stations.

Westnet said the transaction will enhance its customer service capabilities and expand its operational footprint, particularly with the addition of Low Voltage Installations’ presence and experience in Colorado. The combined company aims to provide more integrated, reliable, and health-focused alerting systems for public safety organizations.

Low Voltage Installations has supported fourteen dispatch centers, 54 fire agencies, and more than 206 fire and EMS stations. The company is known for its emphasis on high-quality installations, long-term customer relationships, and responsive local support.

Westnet, founded in 1975 and headquartered in Huntington Beach, California, has over five decades of experience in public safety communications. Its fire station alerting system has received national recognition for improving response times, including honors from the U.S. Air Force. The company was acquired by Armory Capital in 2023.

The combined organization will focus on delivering enhanced resources, deeper technical expertise, and improved service offerings to emergency response providers.
