WeTouch Technology: Net Income Jumps 25.5% To $6 Million As Automotive And Medical Touchscreen Demand Grows

WeTouch Technology reported first-half 2026 net income of $6 million, up 25.5% year over year, as demand increased across its touchscreen portfolio, with automotive and medical applications leading growth.

Revenue increased 9.4% to $30.3 million from $27.7 million, while gross profit rose 9.8% to approximately $10.7 million. Gross margin remained relatively stable at 35.3% compared with 35.2% a year earlier.

Operating leverage was stronger further down the income statement. Operating income increased 16.9% to $8.3 million, while the 25.5% increase in net income pushed earnings per share to $0.50 from $0.40.

Shipment volume increased 3.5% to approximately 1.43 million units, meaning revenue expanded faster than unit volume. Overseas revenue increased 7.8% to approximately $9.7 million, supported by continuing expansion efforts in markets including Japan and Singapore.

The company’s balance sheet also remained substantial relative to its operating scale. Cash reserves totaled approximately $127.5 million, compared with $110.5 million previously, while stockholders’ equity reached $148.8 million at June 30. Operating cash flow increased to approximately $5.5 million from $4.7 million.

WeTouch is seeking to move beyond supplying individual touchscreen components toward integrated display modules and professional solutions. It is also exploring intelligent terminals, robotics and other AI-enabled hardware that could use its existing touch-display, human-machine-interface and manufacturing capabilities.

The strategic shift could increase the amount of value WeTouch captures per customer project if it successfully expands from individual components into integrated systems, while automotive, medical, industrial-control and other specialized applications continue to provide the underlying touchscreen demand base.
